The living museum was really interesting because it allowed us to not only experience the artifacts of Peruvians, but it also allowed us to actually witness the experience of real people. We were able to see the llamas, alpacas and vicunas and feed them. Once we feed and petted them, we saw the way their hair was turned into various colored yarns used to make the clothing and other goods that were available for sale. It was a really positive experience to see the process that the beautiful clothing goods were created. The hair was shaved from the animals, died using various plants, animals and salt and then woven into the beautiful blankets, shoes, clothes and souvenirs to be shared with the world.
